On April 17&18, 2025, the opera "La bohème" was performed at the Shangyin Opera House. The production was directed by renowned director Li Wei, with artistic supervision by Professor Zhang Guoyong from the Department of Composition and Conducting. It starred alumni Yu Guanqun, Luo Yudan, graduates Hu Sihao, doctoral soprano Guanqun Yu, tenor Xiahou Jinxu, and baritone Jiang Ke, alongside a group of talented opera actors from Shanghai Conservatory of Music , with Yukuang Jin conducting Novus-Classica Camerata, and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Choir, Xi'an Symphony Chorus, and Shanghai Conservatory of Music Junior Choir performing together. Yukuang Jin, with his young team, brought a version of the opera that was sharp and colorful in its interpretation over two unique evenings.
